At HTRSA, we believe soccer is more than just a game—it’s a platform for building friendships, developing life skills, and fostering a lifelong love for fitness. This FAQ page is designed to support our players, parents, and dedicated volunteers by providing clear, accessible information. Whether you’re a first-time soccer parent or a seasoned coach, we’re here to ensure your experience on and off the pitch is smooth, successful, and fun.

When does registration open?

Registration for the Spring season opens around December of the previous year.  

Example: Spring 2027, Registration would open in November or December of 2026

Registration for the Fall season opens in June before the Fall season.

Example: Fall 2026, Registration will open in June of 2026

How can I register?

You can register by visiting the Registration page and clicking on the Online Registration Box.

Where are games played?

At this time all games are played at HTRSA Complex.  We may add additional locations in the future.

When are practices?

Practices are held once per week.  They are held at the discretion of our volunteer coaches.

Where do practices take place?

Practices are mostly held at Hamilton Township Public Schools.  Examples would be Grice Middle School and Yardville Middle School.

How many games are there?

We play at least 8 games per season.  We try to schedule 10, but weather and shifting calendars events like Easter, Memorial Day, and End of School don’t always make that possible.

What equipment do I need?

All players are provided with a uniform shirt and socks.  Players should have black shorts, shin guards, soccer cleats, and a soccer ball.

What size soccer ball do I need?

Players who play in division 7 need a size 3 ball

Players who play in divisions 6,5 and 4 need a size 4 ball.

Players who play in divisions 3 and 2 need a size 5 ball.

When does the season start?

The Spring season typically starts the first week of April.  If Easter falls on that weekend, then it will be the weekend following.

The Fall season typically starts the weekend after Labor Day weekend.  If Labor day falls on the first, the first games weekend may not be until the middle of September.

What is the cost?

The costs can be found by going through registration.

What is the fundraiser buy-out?

The fundraiser buy-out is a $45 fee.  We do a yearly raffle.  For $5, paid in person, you can convert your buy-out to raffle tickets.  When you get the tickets, you sell them and keep the proceeds.  Return the raffle stubs for an opportunity to win one of three cash or cash equivalent, prizes.

What division is will my child play in?

You can visit the Divisions page to see what division your child would be in.

 

My child's friends all play in a different division can they play up/down so he has friends to play with?

Yes, we can make special accommodations so players can play with their friends.  HTRSA is a community organization that wants players to experience soccer in a fun and nurturing environment, part of that is being able to play with friends.
